Mobility

The mobility industry is a strategic sector for the European economy; and one that can significantly contribute to delivering a greener future for our society. Reducing the environmental impacts of mobility without curbing the free movement of citizens or goods is one of Europe’s key challenges. In parallel, digitalisation permeates the entire economy, opening up opportunities and challenges, in particular for the transport sector.

CERRE research critically looks at the regulatory framework to support a decarbonised and dependable mobility for all. We analyse strategies to achieve greater modal shift through market-based incentives and technological advances. We look at how we can best make use of new digital technologies to improve Europe’s transport systems.

Mobility

Mobility is a significant challenge for local, national and European transport authorities. There remain important questions as to how we can bridge the gap between the negative impacts of pollution and climate change and the relatively conservative measures adopted to date. Thanks to the promotion of independent research and contradictory debates between stakeholders of different kinds of mobility, CERRE is able to produce innovative analyses and efficient recommendations.
