On 2 September 2019, Alexandre de Streel, CERRE joint Academic Director and Professor at the University of Namur, gave a presentation on the recent achievements regarding the digital single market and consumer protection in the IMCO Committee of the European Parliament.
He presented his recommendations for Parliament initiatives for this new term. Amongst these: consistent rules and enforcement for the Single Market throughout Europe, greater EU sovereignty and technology competitiveness, the use of data to empower consumers, strengthening the capacity of regulators by using Big Data and AI.
