CERRE Academic Co-Director, Alexandre de Streel, who co-authored the recent CERRE report “EU liability rules for the age of Artificial Intelligence”, was interviewed on the European Commission’s plan to regulate artificial intelligence, noting that there is a difficult balance to be struck between protection and innovation.
The text “sets a relatively open framework and everything will depend on how it is interpreted,” Professor de Streel told AFP.
