Alexandre de Streel, keynote speaker at the 9th International Conference Challenges on Competition in the Digital Environment in Mexico 

Our Academic Director, Alexandre de Streel, is set to make a significant contribution at the 9th International Conference Challenges on Competition in the Digital Environment in Mexico, where he will deliver a keynote lecture on Market Research and Digital Platforms on 16 November. This event will shed light on the growing consensus that traditional competition law falls short in addressing the complexities of digital markets. Consequently, multiple ex ante regulation initiatives have been proposed to tackle these challenges head-on. Europe is actively exploring innovative tools to complement existing competition legal frameworks and prior digital platform regulations, while the United States is in the midst of discussions surrounding its Open App Markets Act.
