CERRE at EU-US Tech and Trade Council Academic Research Workshop

On 11 February 2022, CERRE Academic Director, Alexandre de Streel, will participate in an EU-US Tech and Trade Council online workshop on transparency of content moderation measures. This workshop is held as part of the Data Governance and Technology Platforms work strand (Working Group 5).

This joint EU-US research workshop will bring together a group of 16 academic researchers and experts to discuss current transparency reporting practices by digital platforms with respect to the content moderation decisions they take.

They will explore existing work and gaps, develop a shared understanding of the problem, and share information concerning principles and/or approaches to address these.  EU and U.S. government representatives will observe the discussion and exchange of perspectives on these issues.
