Sonja Herrmann is a Ph.D. student in Information Systems at the Chair for Internet & Telecommunications Business and in the DFG-funded Research Training Group Digital Platform Ecosystems, both at the University of Passau, Germany. Prior to that she completed her studies with a master’s degree in business administration also at the University of Passau. In her research she focuses on the intersection between digital platform monetisation, behavioural design and consumer protection, especially in the context of video game design mechanics.
