Paula Rey García is Deputy Head of the Unit for Renewables and Energy System Integration Policy at the European Commission DG Energy. She joined the European Commission in 2005, with roles in DG Environment and DG Health and Food Safety, and has been with DG Energy since 2012 working to drive the deployment of renewables and improving energy efficiency across Europe. Prior to joining the European Commission, she worked for the United Nations Environment Programme, and in the private sector as consultant.
