Martins Prieditis is deputy Head of Unit in Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) of the European Commission. He joined the Commission in 2007 and has worked in DG JUST on consumer protection since 2012.
Martins dealt with the last review of EU consumer law in 2019, and the new Directive promoting the Repair of Goods adopted in 2024. Currently, his main file is the preparation of the Commission’s proposal for a Digital Fairness Act due in 2026.
