Jan-Christoph Oetjen

Jan-Christophe OETJEN has been a Member of the European Parliament for the Renew Europe Group, since July 2019. He is the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and a substitute on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. Before joining the European Parliament, he served as a member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in the Lower Saxony regional parliament from 2003 until 2019. He has been a member of the FDP since 1995. Before going into politics, he studied economics at the University of Hannover.
