Enrico Tesio
Dr Enrico Tesio is Principal at DFC Economics and Advisor at the Florence School of Regulation, European University Institute. Enrico’s expertise in energy markets spans the full spectrum of wholesale market design, as he supported institutions, regulators, system operators and private businesses on a wide range of matters including spot and long-term market design, regulatory frameworks for low-carbon gases, renewables and storage, auction design and implementation, market modelling, grid code review, and support in disputes and litigation – including REMIT cases across Europe.
Beyond Europe, he has provided advisory services on electricity and gas market reform in Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Uzbekistan and the Western Balkans, drawing on EU market design principles and best practices.
Prior to joining DFC, Enrico supported trading operations in two EU energy companies, leading on risk management for the power and gas portfolios.
Enrico holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and an MSc in Physics from the Università degli Studi di Milano.
