Alexander Ernert is Director of Regulation at Euro Cargo Rail, a subsidiary of DB Cargo operating freight services in France. He is also Head of Relations with SNCF Réseau.

Prior to joining Euro Cargo Rail, he held various positions within Deutsche Bahn in Berlin, including senior consultant for regulatory management and as a lawyer in the department for regulatory, antitrust and competition law.

Since 2007, he is also a private attorney at law.
