Gautam Kamath has been working for Huawei since November 2020 as lead on key cybersecurity, privacy and data governance topics for the EU Political Affairs and Communications Department in Brussels. He regularly represents Huawei at trade associations and think tanks covering digital economy issues, and has also engaged in media relations for the company.

A common thread driving these experiences is the outsized role of technology in transforming society positively, whether it is bridging the digital divide through connectivity, enabling financial inclusion through digital payments, or using data to mitigate effects of natural disasters or public health crises.
Mr. Kamath has a Masters degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from National Taiwan University, and a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) from Maastricht University.
